Pseudodifferential calculus is an important tool in the theory of elliptic linear partial differential equations. We introduce papers [I-IV], where pseudodifferential calculus is studied in the presence of a transitive group of symmetries for the underlying compact manifold.
This thesis consists of an overview and of the following 4 publications:
Keywords: pseudodifferential operators, Lie groups, homogeneous spaces, non-commutative Fourier analysis, Schwartz kernels, operator-valued symbols, symbol calculus, asymptotic expansions, parametrix, commutators, periodic pseudodifferential operators, analysis on sphere
